Barrio @ Vivo city

After work, Hee Siang and I finally made the date, along with Kia and Nikki, to go eat Mexican food at Barrio, the food was pretty good but some of the servers were kinda weird/awkward? Like when we were queuing to get into the restaurant (no walls/open concept), the server at the front was almost confused at why we were queuing, hahahah what!20170108_134647Sides: grilled corn, mexican fries and chips with salsa20170108_134616Chicken wings, uniquely flavoured, mildy spicy not bad for $8.50Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetPulled pork burger.Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetMushroom and cheese burger.Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFish TacosProcessed with VSCO with hb1 presetSteak TacosProcessed with VSCO with hb1 presetAll together now!20170108_135113The aftermath.

In general, this was a good meal, it totalled up to about 98 dollars, we probably ate the most out of everyone else in the restaurant, Hee Siang and I ate 3 tacos each, while on average, its usually 2/3 tacos per 2 person for everyone else. The open concept thing was a little awkward though cause i would be spreading my jaw so wide trying to stuff that steak taco or chicken wing in my mouth while making eye contact with whoever happened to be walking by. It was pretty hilarious! The only thing that was totally poor was the salsa, absolutely no kick and tasted flatter than the chest of a pre-pubescent girl.

3.9/5Β  Because Mexican food is a rather rare commodity in Singapore, and for a first, it sparked a pretty good impression but I can’t help feeling that it could be better. Here’s to hoping.
